Bullet Hell Project

This is a Bullet Hell game I want to build with some exploration elements in the levels. So the player will have the opportunity to explore a level, find powerups, currencies, and key items, and have high-intensity combat moments to break up the exploration.

My first inspiration for the game comes from Nier: Automata, where the player can engage in small hacking mini-games. The current aesthetic of the 0.1 version is heavily inspired by the Nier hacking game.

I also want to bring in more elements than just killing enemies. Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves also has a similar hacking mini-game with more elements and goals than Nier has.

Sly 3 hacking games often have small objectives that need to be accomplished to complete the overall goal.

I wanna mix these side objectives with the exploration elements in my game, making the player find key items, through side objectives to complete an overall goal.

Version 0.1 includes the basics of the game; a player character, a following camera, and a couple of different enemies that shoot or follow the player.

The next step is more enemy types and arenas that can challenge the player.
